AWMA Buyer’s Program for Wednesday, February 20, at THE REAL DEAL EXPO!
Distributor and retailer buyers, don’t miss out again this year. Just like at the 2006 & 2007 EXPO, AWMA will conduct another Buyer’s Program on the Wednesday before the EXPO begins. We know you will be attending the EXPO, so why not plan to come in a day early and attend this program. This workshop is FREE to all buyers that are attending the EXPO (Buyers not attending the EXPO will be charged $1,000 for the workshop).
The AWMA “The Distributor Value Equation Study” identified SKU proliferation, duplications and slow moving items as some of the contributing factors of poor financial performance of convenience channel distributors.
This workshop has been structured to help buyers clearly understand the profit challenges/opportunities for distributors and the significant role they play in driving positive change. Buyers will learn how to more effectively manage assortment/costs by leveraging data from multiple data sources in their organization, and facilitating fact-based assortment decisions internally and with their manufacturer partners.
This workshop is being conducted by Kit Dietz,owner of Dietz Consulting LLC,and Frank Davoli, director of purchasing at Richmond Master Distributors.

Excel Skills For BuyersMaking good decisions is based on having “all of the right information.”Many times,the data buyers need reside in different places.How do you pull it all together? This hands-on session will help buyers develop new valuable skills in Excel. We will cover the use of several advanced Excel functions,variable look-ups,nested if statements,and much more. Participants that have laptops loaded with Microsoft Excel are encouraged to bring them to the session so that you can write your own formulas using data that will be provided and shown on-screen. We will also work with you one-on-one
to answer your questions.
